Terms of Use

Agreement

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to Papgeld’s websites, web app, and mobile apps. By creating an account or using Papgeld you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. “Papgeld” is operated by ElasticWebHost.

The service

Papgeld helps adults keep shared co-parenting and child-support records: chat, calendar, money logs, vault files, child profiles, and related tools. Optional paid plans (Family Premium and Papgeld Lawyer) unlock additional features described in the product. Papgeld does not hold, clear, or transfer maintenance money between parents.

Not legal or financial advice

Papgeld records information you enter. It does not give legal advice, accounting advice, or therapy, and it does not replace a parenting plan, court order, maintenance investigator, or qualified professional. Court PDF exports are extracts of your Papgeld record with an integrity hash — not a court stamp or certified transcript.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be an adult legally able to contract where you live. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you submit and for keeping login credentials secure. Parents and caregivers jointly control a family space according to roles. You must not share your password or allow a child to use your account unsupervised as if they were the account holder.

Acceptable use

Use Papgeld only for lawful co-parenting and related professional work. You must not harass, threaten, stalk, or defame others; upload unlawful, pornographic involving minors, or infringing content; attempt to access another family’s data; reverse engineer or disrupt the service; or use Papgeld to commit fraud. We may suspend or terminate accounts that misuse the service.

Subscriptions and billing

Family Premium and Papgeld Lawyer may be sold as auto-renewable subscriptions. On iOS, Apple’s In-App Purchase terms apply; on Android, Google Play’s billing terms apply; on the website, Paystack (or the provider shown at checkout) processes payment. Prices, length (for example monthly or yearly), and what you get are shown before you subscribe in the app or on the site. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in your Apple ID, Google Play account, or web customer portal. Refunds are handled by the store or payment provider under their rules. Managing or cancelling a store subscription does not automatically delete your Papgeld account.

Privacy

How we process personal information is described in our Privacy Policy at https://papgeld.com/en/legal/privacy. By using Papgeld you acknowledge that processing.

Intellectual property

Papgeld’s software, branding, and documentation are owned by us or our licensors. You keep ownership of content you upload. You grant us a limited licence to host, display, and process that content only to operate the service for your family and authorised recipients.

Availability and changes

We aim for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. Features, pricing, and free-tier limits may change. We may modify or discontinue parts of the service with reasonable notice where practicable.

Disclaimer and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Papgeld is provided “as is”. We are not liable for decisions you make based on records in the app, for disputes between co-parents or with third parties, or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under South African consumer law or other mandatory law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Courts in South Africa have exclusive jurisdiction, without limiting any non-waivable consumer rights you may have where you live.
